Full name JORDAN CASSIDY BROWN…Wife’s name is Mendi…Son, Damon, daughter, Alexis …Resides in Tucson, AZ…Played 3 years of baseball at the University of Arizona…Trevor Crowe is Damon’s Godfather…Was named All-America by Collegiate Baseball in 2005 along with Trevor Crowe during his junior season after hitting .336 (88-262) with 17 2B, 14HR & 80 RBI in 60 games…Was also named second-team All-America by Sports Weekly…Led the Pac-10 with 80RBI, at the time just the fifth player at Arizona to finish a single season with 80 or more RBI…During his sophomore season of 2004.
2010 SEASON HIGHLIGHTS
Enjoyed his first two stints at the big league level in 2010 and spent the majority of the season at AAA Columbus where he hit .298 (97[-326) with 28 2B, 8HR & 67 RBI in 83 games…Season did not begin until April 29 after suffering a right knee injury during a spring training outfield drill and eventually underwent surgery to repair a torn meniscus.
Was on the Columbus active roster from April 29 until being recalled for the first time on July 31 after Austin Kearns was traded to the Yankees… At the time of his first promotion he was hitting .309 (84-272) with 25 doubles, one triple, six home runs and 63RBI…At the time of his first recall his average was the third highest in the International League, while his RBI total is tied for fifth despite not driving in his first run at the beginning of May.
During his first stint with the Tribe from July 31-August 15 he hit.226 (7-31) with 4 doubles, one RBI and 4 runs scored in 9 games… Made his Major League debut on August 1 at Toronto and collected his first hit and run scored on August 2 at Boston off John Lackey.
After being optioned back to AAA on August 15 he was 13-for-54 (.241) with 7 runs, 3 doubles, 2 home runs and 4 RBI in 14 games before being recalled a 2nd and final time when rosters expanded on Sept. 1…In Sept/Oct hehit .232 (13-56) with 5RS, 3 2B & 1 RBI in 17 games…Had a career high 3 hits on August 7 vs. Minnesota…Made 5 starts @ DH, 7 starts in LF & 8 starts at first base (10 games)…Was 1-for-6 as pinch hitter with Cleveland…Had a 6 RBI game, two 5RBI games and three 4RBI games for Columbus…Hit .312 (34-109) in July with 10 2B, 4HR & 26 RBI in 27 games…Appeared in 17 games at first base, 25 games in LF and 19 games in RF at Triple-A

John attended Taylor High School in Houston, Texas where he was an All-State pitcher, leading the Greater Houston area in strikeouts in 2002. He tossed a school record three no-hitters during his career, including a 20-strikeout no-no against Mayde Creek High School his senior year. He was an academic All-District honoree, member of the National Honor Society and was nominated for acceptance into the U.S. Air Force Academy.
He attended the University of Arizona from 2003 - 2005. Went 4-1 with 2 saves in 20 appearances (two starts) in 2003. He pitched in the Cape Cod league for the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox in the Summer of 2003. He also led the Wildcats to their first College World Series in 18 years by going 10-0 in 2004 and went 10-3 for the Wildcats in 2005.

Duncan’s father is St. Louis Cardinals pitching coach Dave Duncan…Is the University of Arizona’s all-time HR leader (55), ranks sixth in RBI (186) and fourth in slugging percentage (.664)…Also holds the single-season home run record (24)…Is the last University of Arizona player to hit 3 HRs in a game (2/23/01 vs. Utah)…In 1999, helped Arizona to their first NCAA Tournament bid since 1993 with 20 HRs and 68 RBIs, setting a school and PAC-10 record for home runs by a freshman…Was a consensus First Team All-American in 2001…Graduate d from Canyon del Oro High School in 1998. Was a member of the
2007 State Championship baseball team and earned Arizona Republic State Player of the Year in 1997 and 1998.
Duncan attended the University of Arizona, where in 1999 he was a Freshman First Team All-American outfielder, and in 2001 he was a First Team College All-American outfielder and Pacific-10 Conference All-Star for the Arizona Wildcats baseball team. He was selected by the Yankees in the second round of the 2001 Major League Baseball Draft, 62nd overall.
2001 Made his professional debut with short-season Single-A Staten Island, batting .245 (67-for-273) with 8 HR and 39 RBI in 70 games…Selected by the Yankees in the second round (62nd overall) of the 2001 First-Year Player Draft.
2002 Posted a .267 batting average (95-for-356) with Single-A Greensboro with 14 HR and 56 RBI in 101 games…Was placed on the D.L. from 8/13 through the remainder of the season w/a broken right hand.
2003 Batted .264 (87-for-330) with 8 HR and 47 RBI in 91 games with Single-A Tampa.
2004 Ranked third in the Florida State League in home runs and placed fourth in RBI.
2005 won the Eastern League Home Run Derby and was selected by Baseball America as the “Best Power Prospect” in the Eastern League…Was named to the EL Post-season All-Star team.
2006 Spent time at the Double-A and Triple-A levels.
2007 Was named Scranton/Wilkes-Barre “Player of the Year” and was selected to the 2007 International League All-Star team as the DH…Also named the designated hitter for both the Topps and Baseball America Triple-A All-Star team.
2008 Hit .175 with 3 doubles, 1 HR and 6 RBI in 23 games (12 starts at 1B, 3 starts in RF) over two stints with the Yankees, making his first career Opening Day roster.
2009 Earned International League MVP honors in 2009, batting .277 (125-for-452) with 85 R, 30 doubles, 1 triple, 30 HR and 99 RBI in 123 games with the IL Northern Division champs.
2010 Started the year in AAA Columbus and was promoted to Cleveland on May 19.
